The Village Board of Deer Park consists of a President, six Trustees and a Village Clerk.  Elections are held every odd-numbered year on the first Tuesday in April, at which time either the President and three Trustees or three Trustees will be elected to serve four-year terms.

Regular meetings are held the third Monday of every month at  7:00 pm at the Vehe Barn, 23570 W. Cuba Road, Deer Park, IL 60010. The agenda for each meeting is posted on the Village website and at the Village Office by the close of business the Friday prior to the meeting; an agenda may also be requested via email at deerparkoffice@comcast.net.

Although the Village of Deer Park receives no money from the Lake County real estate tax, there is an annual budget that covers the salaries of the President, Administrator, Clerk, Treasurer, Building Inspector, Septic Engineer, Village Engineer, Village Attorney, police service, membership in BACOG, road maintenance, snow removal, park maintenance and other miscellaneous expenses.
